Pre-Spray Conditioning

Pre-conditioning or pre-spray is the application of an environmentally safe agent to the carpet of upholstery fibers at the beginning of the cleaning process.  Without a pre-spray or a pre-conditioning agent, a technician would simply be wetting the fibers.   These pre-sprays are the detergent in the carpet cleaning process and have emulsifiers in them which counteract the soil attached to the fiber.  When dirt comes in contact with the pre-spray it releases from the fiber and is rinsed after a 10-15 minute dwell time using an environmentally friendly rinse at high heat.  Many carpet cleaning companies charge extra for pre-spray or do not apply it at all.  Code Blue includes pre-spray with every cleaning and DOES NOT charge extra for it.  Not using pre-spray is like washing your hair without shampoo.  Do not be fooled by low price carpet cleaning companies!
